I ended up making three of this pub. McSorley’s Old Ale House is the oldest Irish Saloon in New York City. The customer wanted two replicas, one for their son and another for a friend. Then, as I was making it I found out it is my daughter-in-law’s favorite New York Pub so I made her one for Christmas too. The real building is actually a 5 story building in East Village Manhattan, New York, and has other buildings attached on both sides. By necessity, I made it into a 2 story stand alone building, but tried to duplicate the 1st floor façade. I imagined what the sides and back would look like if it was a stand alone building.
